Making Money with LED Displays

Investing in Digital LED Display Advertising as a business can be a rewarding and easy way to produce income. Those who pursue this path often are amazed as to how much return value they can produce from each LED Sign they own. So, let’s go over a couple of methods for making money with LED Displays.

Billboard Advertising

How it Works: A LED Sign owner (you) would buy the LED Billboard and erect it in a popular, high traffic area. Then you would sell advertising spots to your clients typically for a monthly charge.

This is the most common type of LED Advertising in the market and for good reason. There is a ton of money to be made with this method. The nice thing about a LED Billboard is that you can have multiple clients advertising on the same board at the same time. Most LED Billboard companies will sell about 8 spots, each one cycles to a new Ad about every 8-12 seconds. This means you can have 8 advertisers paying you for each location per month.

Example Profit Breakdown: 8 clients X $2800 per Ad = $22,400 per month. That is $268,800 profit per year for just one sign. Imagine owning 10, you basically just have to sit back and watch the money come in.

Display Renting

How it Works: The Sign Owner (you) would rent a Mobile LED Display to the Event Coordinators for a set price per time used. They would send you the graphics to pre-load on the display. You would then take the Mobile LED Display to the event on the desired date and set it to play.

This type of LED Advertising is gaining popularity very fast. The core reasons for this are that it requires very little effort on your part to find sponsors and is beneficial for the client who may not be able to afford purchasing a display just for one event. Moreover, there are a ton of different events that happen yearly. Christmas Parties, Birthdays, Quinceaneras, 5k Runs, City, Community, and Church Events are just a few of the endless possibilities for potential revenue.

Example Profit Breakdown: $1500/Day X 3 Day Event = $4500. It may not seem like a lot at first, but if you keep your display rented out every day then that totals to $45,000 a month or $540,000 a year. Again, that is all with just one display, the more you own, the more you make.

Shared Space

How it works: You help a business by paying for a portion of the LED Display when they buy one. In turn, they allow you a set number of advertising slots on the sign. You then sell those slots for advertising to your clients at a monthly charge.

This method of LED Advertising is similar to that used on a Digital Billboard. It allows you to gain a prime advertising location with half of the initial investment in purchasing a LED Display. This option is great for customers who want to start into the Digital Advertising market.

Example Profit Breakdown: 4 clients X $1500 per Ad = $6,000 per month per location. Having multiple locations operating like this can be quite profitable as well.
